It’s that time of year again, where businesses begin to wind down (or get geared up) for the Christmas period. There’s a buzz about the office and everyone is starting to think about celebrations and Christmas parties.
So, what could you do to bring your business to life this Christmas and make your workplace feel Christmas ready whilst still remaining productive in the lead up to the holidays?
Here we’ve put together some ‘top tips’ on how you can breathe some Christmas cheer in to your workplace/office this season.
1. Decorate the workplace/office
This could be something as simple as using some twinkly lights (that aren’t too distracting), purchasing an office Christmas tree and decorating it as a team, or decorating the kitchen/communal area perhaps with some Christmas games and hanging decorations.
2. Create your very own Santa’s grotto
You can get the whole workforce on board with this, it will be a fun activity to get colleagues to take part in and you could always do it for a purpose.
We suggest perhaps to have your grotto as a drop point for your all-important secret Santa gifts or why not ask the workforce for gift donations for a chosen charity, it’s the season of good will and it’s good to give back after all!
3. Decorate your desk
Why not get in the spirit of things by running a competition within the workplace for the best decorated desk. The winner could be announced at the Christmas party and the prize could be something as simple as an afternoon off or even a Christmas hamper!
4. Have some wrapping sessions
Why not have some selected time slots in the last few days of work to get some of that Christmas wrapping done? This could be done as a team activity, making it interactive; it’s certain to get work colleagues engaging with one another.
5. Get some Christmas music playing in the work place to really get into the Christmas spirit
It only needs to be on a low level, but having some songs on in the background could put your colleagues in a great mood, which in turn equals productivity!
