Visitors to Business First in Burnley were given a spooky welcome on Halloween, with pumpkins carved and decorated by tenants on display in the reception area.
We Love Creative, with the support of the Business First management team, organised a ‘pimp your pumpkin’ competition for businesses in the managed office space, with the aim of raising funds for Emmaus in Burnley.
“We received some fantastic entries and it was great to see all of the tenants getting competitive,” said Georgia-Kaye Berry, Centre Manager at Business First. “We organise a range of fundraising and charity events throughout the year and thought that with winter fast approaching, the homeless charity Emmaus would be a worthy recipient of the money raised by the competition.”
The competition was judged by We Love Creative’s design team. First place was awarded to Julie Sharkey from Doodle Press with Mark Oulsun-Jenkins from RTR TV and Kirsten Riley from CGR runners up.
“Halloween is a great excuse for people to show their creative sides through carving pumpkins, and we were really impressed by the talent of tenants in the business centre,” said Amanda Hatton, Marketing and PR Manager at We Love Creative.
“We’re really pleased with how businesses in the building engaged with the competition and helped us to raise money for a local charity which will make a big difference to the lives of local homeless people over the coming months.”
